Privacy Policy & Information Security Program

As an independent insurance agency, A. T. Matthews & Dier collects, maintains and handles personally identifiable information of customers, applicants and other consumers. Maintaining the security of this information is an important responsibility of this agency. This Information Security Program is designed to safeguard the security and confidentiality of customer information, protect against any reasonably anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of the information and protect against unauthorized access to, or use of the information that could result in harm or inconvenience to any customer. This shall be accomplished through the administrative, technical and physical safeguards outlined in the Privacy Program.

We respect your privacy; we do not sell trade or otherwise disclose your identity or other personal information to others for their marketing purposes. While your personal information is under our control, we have electronic, physical and procedural safeguards in place to maintain its confidentiality. Access to your personal information is limited to those Employees who have a legitimate business need to see it.

Risk Assessment

Our Information Security Program includes a risk assessment to accomplish the following objectives:

Identifies reasonably foreseeable internal or external threats that could result in unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration or destruction of customer information or customer information systems. (Customer information systems are the electronic or physical methods used to access, collect, store, use, transmit, protect or dispose of customer information);

We assesses the likelihood and potential damage of these threats, taking into consideration the sensitivity of customer information;

We practice certain policies, procedures as they relate to customer information and other related personal information collected, maintained and disclosed in connection with the insurance policies we issue. We have in place certain systems and other safeguards for the purpose of controlling risks.
